The ABC has launched a new mobile hotspot app to help users find their next local hotspot.
The app, Spectrum Down, aims to give Australians more choice in the way they access mobile networks.
“Spectrum Down will be a great way for Australians to find their local hotspots, so they don’t have to go into the internet and search for a hotspot in a crowded place,” the ABC says on the Spectrum Down homepage.
“This is a free and open source app that enables you to find the best internet connection in Australia at any time.”
If you’re an internet user, Spectrum is the best way to get the best mobile network in Australia.
“The app can be downloaded here.
For the first time in more than a decade, the ABC is launching a mobile hotspots app that will help Australians discover which Australian mobile network is best for them.
In August, the Coalition said it would open a nationwide hotspot network that would be “broadcast from the air”.
The Coalition promised to roll-out the network by the end of 2019.
But the ABC has yet to reveal which Australian provider will be launching its first mobile hotsphere in 2018.
